Soman Baby, is a well-known journalist living in the Kingdom of Bahrain. He has spent the last almost three decades of his life in Bahrain working for the Gulf Daily News, local English daily and currently holds the position of Associate Editor.  His unique insight of life in Bahrain observed through the analytical yet understanding eyes of a journalist has more often than not been an endearing factor that has brought him close to the Ruling family, the Government and the people of Bahrain.

An Indian national, hailing from the southern state of Kerala, Soman Baby has been the flag bearer of the Indian Community in Bahrain  and is often referred to as the unofficial ambassador of India in Bahrain. Such is his renown that almost every member ofthe Indian community identifies with him and seeks recourse to him to voice their thoughts and feelings.
